Obituary for Annette Vriends
Annette Vriends, of Woodstock passed away peacefully on November 3, 2022 at Sakura House. Survived by sisters Bernadette Winslow (Michael) of Dartmouth N.S., and Agnes Vriends of London, Ontario. Brothers Adrian (Camilla) of Saskatoon and Joseph of New Hamburg. Sister-in-law Beth of Strathroy. Predeceased by her parents Peter (1989) and Johanna (2015) Vriends and brother Henry (2021). Also survived by nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and large extended Vriends and Kustermans families in Canada and Holland.
Thank you to the nurses and staff at the Woodstock Hospital Chemo Clinic and the Palliative Care team lead by Dr. Sondi. As well as the staff and volunteers at VON Sakura House. Everyone's compassion and care were felt every step of the journey.
A very special Thank You to sisters Bernadette and Agnes and her friends on the journey, Brandi and Phill Yee, Bruce and Wendy Riffel, David Wilton and the neighbours on Lyndale Crescent.
Visitation will be held at the Smith-LeRoy Funeral Home, Woodstock, ON, on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 between 6 - 8 pm. As well as Wednesday, November 9, 2022, between 10 - 10:45 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, where a memorial mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall. A private family interment will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery.
