Obituary for Ben Deruiter
Deruiter, Ben – Passed away at Caressant Care Retirement Home, Woodstock, on Friday, February 19, 2021, Bernardus Theodorus “Ben” Deruiter at the age of 79.
Reunited by his beloved late wife Susan. Sadly missed by his siblings, Cathy Alsemgeest, Maria Joris, Nettie Vens (Ted), John Deruiter (Susan), Joanne VanBuel (Dave), Henry Deruiter, Carol Cleater (Dave), and Tony Deruiter (Trish). Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and extended family. Predeceased by his parents John and Marie (nee Peters) Deruiter and his brother Gerald. Ben was born in Holland on November 21, 1941 and came to Canada with his parents and siblings. He developed a love of horses and built a business making harnesses and saddles.
Cremation has taken place and arrangements have been entrusted to the SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME, 69 Wellington St. North, Woodstock, On (519-537-3611).
