Obituary for Bruna BROLESE

BROLESE, Bruna - It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Bruna, on Friday, June 30, 2023, surrounded by the love of family. Bruna immigrated at age 16 from Riese Pio X, Italy. Beloved wife of Angelo Brolese for 65 years. Loving mother of Denis Brolese (Melissa), Rosanna DeRochie (Gordon), Renato Brolese, and Jeffrey Brolese (Alison). She will be forever loved and missed by her grandchildren Mitchel, Brock, Benjamin, Emily and Kaitlin. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Guido Gardin (late Barbara), Natalina Redigonda (Francesco), Gilda Artuso (late Tony), Angela Rossit (Gianfranco) and Guiliana Bragg (Barry). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and extended family. Predeceased by her parents Primo and Esther “Maria” Gardin, her sister Oliva Tessarolo (late Matteo). Bruna’s beloved cat ChiChi is already missing her. Many words come to mind in describing Bruna. She was kind, generous, caring, loyal, fun loving and dedicated to her family with whom she shared a close relationship. In her younger years, Bruna loved tending to her flower gardens, sewing, crocheting, and doing needlepoint. In recent years she enjoyed doing puzzles and playing card or board games (where she would win almost every time).

The family would like to thank the care givers that supported Bruna and Angelo over this past year, and a special thank you to Stephanie, Elvira, Cathy, Kate (Shenghu) and Amaryn.

The family will welcome visitors at the SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME, 69 Wellington St. N, Woodstock on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm. A funeral mass will be said on Thursday, July 6, 2023, 11:30 am at Holy Trinity Parish, 1420 Devonshire Ave, Woodstock, followed by the interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
