It is with great sorrow that the family announces the sudden passing of Ella Gerber. Ella died peacefully in her residence on February 23rd, 2021 at the age of 82.

Ella was born in Romania on May 1st, 1938. Ella was a faith-filled loving soul who took time for prayer and giving thanks each day for the many blessings in her life.

She was a hard-working loving mother who was always there for her children and who always entertained the crowd with her “dad jokes” great sense of humour. She was known for her gentle touch, empathy and caring heart.

More than anything, Ella enjoyed a good cup of coffee and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved watching them grow up. She was very proud of the people they are and all they are accomplishing. She also loved spending time with her nieces and nephews, Eric, Eddie, Rita, Elizabeth, Anja, Patrick and Karina and seeing their families grow and thrive.

Ella is survived by her beloved sons Richard Haase and William Gerber, his wife Heather Gerber and their four children, Mercedes, Aareanna, Peyton and Austin. She is also survived by her sisters, Ann, Hilda, and Heidi. She was predeceased by her parents Otto and Pauline Haase, and her sister Erna Hatzenbuhler. Ella’s heart will live on inside all those who were blessed to know and love her.

The family will receive visitors on Saturday February 27th, 2021 from 2:00 -4:00 p.m. by appointment at the Smith-LeRoy Funeral Home in Woodstock Ontario.
