Obituary for Elsie Lorraine Campbell (Lowe)
CAMPBELL, Elsie Lorraine –Peacefully passed away, with family and friends by her side, at Woodstock Hospital on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 in her 99th year.
Elsie was the last surviving member of her family. She was predeceased by her loving husband Robert “Vern” Campbell (1986) and her very special friend of 25 years, the late Ken Beaumont (2018). Predeceased by her brothers Donald Lowe and his late wife Bernice and Douglas Lowe and his late wife Marjorie.
Elsie was a long-time member of the Southgate Seniors Centre and the Legion Ladies Auxulliary. Elsie’s family would like to thank the Palliative Care unit of Woodstock Hospital and the staff of Park Place Retirement Home.
The family will receive friends at the SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME, 69 Wellington St. N, Woodstock on Saturday, September 21, 2019 from 10 - 11 a.m. followed by a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Reception to follow. Interment will take place at a later date. As per Elsie’s wishes, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Southgate Seniors Centre or Cancer Research Society. Smith-LeRoy, 519-537-3611.
