HATZENBUHLER, Erna - Passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by the love of her family on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at the age of 84.
Reunited with her beloved husband Nikodemus “Nick” Hatzenbuhler who predeceased her on April 30, 2015. Loving mother of Eric Hatzenbuhler (Crystal), Rita Butler (Kelly), Elizabeth Maheux (Larry) and Edward Hatzenbuhler (Laura). Loving Oma of Alex, Victoria, Kendra, Jessica (Steve), Brittany, Cory, Nicholas (Christina), Mitchell, Stewart and Joshua. Great Oma of Lucas, Anika, Aliyah and Brooklyn. Sadly missed by her sisters Ella Gerber, Anne Haase, Hilda Haase and her sister in Germany Adelheid Wagner (Ekkehard). Fondly remembered by her step grandchildren/ great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. Predeceased by her parents Otto and Pauline Haase.
Erna's faith was most important to her. She drew her strength from it each day, especially during these past few months. She was grateful to God for whatever time she had left on this earth and was a witness to her faith to all she was around.
Music, cooking and dancing were some of her favorite passions. Her greatest joy and treasure was her family, including those in Germany.
The family will receive visitors on Wednesday February 17, 2021 from 2 - 4 & 6 – 8 p.m. (Guests must register to attend visitation on the funeral home website. You must wait in your vehicle until your scheduled time, please adhere to the allotted time and practice social distancing).
A funeral mass will take place on Thursday, February 18, 2021, 11 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, 1420 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock with Fr. Darius Jagodzinski as celebrant. (Due to restrictions, seating is limited, you MUST register with the church to attend the mass 519-539-0876). A private family interment will take place in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
