Obituary for Gary Barney
BARNEY, Gary – Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, on Friday, December 6, 2019 at Victoria Hospital, London in his 77th year.
Beloved husband of Alice Barney (nee Jeanson). Loving father of Norman (Linda), Jeffrey (Barbara) and Glen (Reagan). Loved grandpa of Justin, Jacob, Reagan, and Connery (Hannah). Brother of Mary McDowell (John). He is also survived by friends and extended family. Gary was the son of the late Sam and Flossie Barney. For 42 years he worked shift work at Standard Tube, Woodstock.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation at the SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME, 69 Wellington St. North, Woodstock on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 from 6 - 8 pm. In keeping with Gary’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. Cremation will follow and a private interment of ashes will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Woodstock. A celebration of life will take place in the new year.
