Obituary

NOWLIN, Heather - Passed away at the Woodstock hospital on Sunday July 19, 2020 with both of her children on each hand after a short, but incredibly courageous fight with colon cancer at the age of 63.

Beloved mother and best friend of Ashley Nowlin of Woodstock, and Kris Nowlin of Nipawin, Saskatchewan. Heather is going to be sadly missed by her beautiful granddaughter Emmalee, and Emmalee’s mother Carissa. She loved her fur grand babies Nancy, Sophia, Nomis, Edna & Louise with all her heart.

Heather worked and was the assistant manager at Fabricland in Woodstock & Tillsonburg for 23 years and she loved her job and coworkers almost as much as she loved sewing. She made countless costumes for The Dara-Jane Jewer school of dance and her talent had no limits, if you could dream it, she could sew it! She will forever be remembered as the little lady with the long hair and a one of a kind attitude. She was so warm with everyone she met, and the most understanding, accepting, and caring mother and friend you could ask for. The world was a brighter place because of her. Heather was so easy to love and will be impossible to forget. She was taken far too soon but whether she was dancing, sewing, horseback riding or being sassy she was so happy and so loved. She had a beautiful life and she’s dancing with her parents and best friend now.

Cremation has taken place as per Heather’s wishes. Donations in Heather’s memory can be made to the Woodstock Hospital - Palliative Care Unit, in honor of the loving care Heather and her family received during their stay. Arrangements have been entrusted to the SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME. 69 Wellington St. North, Woodstock, on (519-537-3611). Personal condolences may be sent at www.smithleroy.com
