Obituary for Irma Byrne

BYRNE, Irma Amelia (nee Tidy) – Born April 18, 1931 in Winnipeg, Manitoba on March 10, 2022, Irma went to be with the Lord and was reunited with her beloved husband Patrick (2012), whom she married on May 27, 1950. Mom and Dad lived most of their adult lives in British Columbia until they moved to Woodstock, Ontario in 1996. Mom was a wonderful mother and grandmother to Cathy (John) Parciak, of Woodstock, Ontario, granddaughters, Katie and Julia; Connie (Kelly) Hayden, of Georgia, USA; Celia McBride (late Jim), of Chilliwack, British Columbia, grandson Ken; Michael Byrne, of North Vancouver, grandson Joey and granddaughters Kelsey and Isabella; Patrick (Donna-Mae) Byrne of Richmond, BC and granddaughters, Julia and Suzanne. Mom is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mom was predeceased by her loving husband Patrick, her much loved grandson James Cameron “Jay” McBride (1996), wonderful son-in-law Jim McBride (2018), her parents David W. and Celia E. Tidy as well as all 5 of her siblings and their spouses.
Mom was very happy that her family history would carry on to generations long after she was gone, when her loving daughter Connie (in collaboration with two of Mom’s wonderful nieces, Lynne Tidy and Susan Riley) spent the time to research and complete her family history.

In keeping with Mom’s generous spirit, donations to “The Inn” (local homeless shelter) operated by Operation Sharing would be appreciated (www.operationsharing.ca/donate)

Private Cremation Arrangements have been entrusted to the SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME, 69 Wellington St. North, Woodstock, ON N4S 6P7 (519-537-3611).
