Smailagic, Iza - Iza (nee Mesic) passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Woodingford Lodge at the age of 86.  Iza will be dearly missed by her beloved daughters and son, Merima, Emira (Michael), Adila and Edin, and her granddaughter Naysa. She also leaves behind her sister Fatima Lovric (Josip), her brother-in-law Arif Smailagic, nieces, nephews, and countless friends.

Iza had devoted many years to Firestone Textiles and loved to entertain. She and her late husband Irfan welcomed everyone into their home where Iza was a culinary marvel in the kitchen and determined to be the perfect hostess.  Gardening was another passion of hers where her home was adorned with rare and countless plants.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the nurses and PSWs for their compassionate care during Iza’s stay at Woodingford Lodge.

Friends and relatives are invited to join the family on Friday November 19 from 6 - 9 PM at Smith-LeRoy Funeral Home located at 69 Wellington St N, Woodstock .The funeral service will be taking place Saturday November 20, 2021 in the chapel at 12 PM with interment to follow at Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery RR 3 Lcd Main, Woodstock. Guests are asked to register by clicking the RSVP button under the service details.

Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
