SOBCZYK, Jan “John” - Passed away peacefully at home on Friday, April 9, 2021, at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Eva Sobcyk (nee Parciak) for 54 years. Loving father of Tony Sobczyk (Kim) and Helen Saunders (Steve). He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Riley Sobczyk (Sarah and Gavyn), Taylor Sobczyk (Jared), Madison Sobczyk (Jared), Colin Saunders (Jessica), Brooke Saunders (Brent) and Luke Saunders (Rachel). Brother of Wtadystawa Machalek. Brother-in-law of Teresa Parciak, John & Cathy Parciak, Marian & Halina Mistrzak, Fritz & Bernadette Geris, Stasia Bradshaw (late Roman), Michael & Bonnie Parciak, Sandy Innes (late Martha), Celina Fiederowicz (late Rich) and late Sophie Parciak. Nephew of Jadwiga Sielicki. John will be fondly remembered by several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Predeceased by his parents Anthony and Maria Sobczyk and siblings Regina, Kazimiera, Jozef and Eugeniusz.

The family will welcome visitors at the SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME, 69 Wellington St. N, Woodstock on Tuesday, April 13 from 2-3 pm. The Rosary will be said at 3pm and visiting will again be from 6-8 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Trinity Parish, 1420 Devonshire Ave, Woodstock on Wednesday, April 14, 2021at 11 am with Fr Dariusz Jagodzinski as celebrant.
