Obituary for John Hooton
HOOTON, John – Passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at the age of 74.
Father of Gavin Hooton of British Columbia, and Cheryl Wettlaufer (Andy) of Woodstock. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Elim, Sita and their mother Barb, Gaspar and Allegra; Neeva and Kael. Brother of Kathleen Curwood (Michael) of England and uncle to Simon (Nicola) and Paul. Predeceased by his parents Jack and Nora Hooton and his beloved fur babies Daisy, Maggie, Molly and Oliver.
John immigrated to Canada in 1978 where he worked at Harvey Woods then became a millwright and joined the Millwright Union until retirement. He enjoyed taking his children to Long Point, where they spent many summers camping and fishing.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service. If you wish to make a donation in John's memory, the family asks you to consider the Oxford County Animal Rescue Group or the Woodstock Hospital Foundation.
