Sabino, Jose Melo “Joe” – Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at Sakura House on Friday, June 2, 2023 in his 80th year.

Beloved husband of Tina Sabino (Furtado) for 52 years. Loving father of Paul (Jeannette) Sabino, and Jamie (Nadine) Sabino. Cherished grandpa of Alexis, Diego, Jemma, Macey, Cruz, and Josie. Survived by his sister Dilia Maria de Almeida (the late Basilio Cabral Melo), and brother Lucas (Gabriela) Sabino. Predeceased by his parents, Jose Moniz Sabino and Alexandrina Rebelo de Almeida and his siblings, Maria (Frank) Chimanti, Alexandrina Furtado (Armando), Maria dos Anjos Oliveira (Jose de Oliveira), Cecilia Almeida (Jose). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday, June 6th between 5 – 8 pm at the Smith-LeRoy Funeral Home, Woodstock. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, 1420 Devonshire Ave, Woodstock, on Wednesday, June 7th, 2023 at 11:00 am with Fr. Seejo John officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. A reception will be held in the Parish Hall.
