TAVARES, Jose - Passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at the Woodstock Hospital, Jose Vitorino Tavares at the age of 86.

Devoted loving husband of Maria Natividad Tavares. Reunited with his devoted first wife Maria Lourdes Tavares (2010). Dear father of Debbie DeAlmeida (George) of Massachusetts and Darlene Hepburn (Derek) of Vancouver. Loving grandfather of Serina DeAlmeida, Catarina DeAlmeida and Alicia Hepburn. Jose was a loving father and husband who was a very devout Catholic and prayed the Rosary everyday of his life. He would “take the shirt off his back” to help others. He was an avid gardener and raised award winning pigeons. He loved his family, especially his 3 grandchildren and the Toronto Maple Leafs. He loved going for coffee to “hang out” with his friends and he had the best laugh. He worked in construction in London and Woodstock. He retired from Roberts Roofing where he was a foreman. He was a very hard working, caring man that loved to visit Portugal with his wife in his last years of life.
