Kayla Patricia Lynn Halashewski, 29, of Woodstock, Ontario, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2020, surrounded by family at St. Mary’s Hospital in Kitchener, Ontario.

Kayla was born in Woodstock to Loreena McKay and Thomas Halashewski on August 10, 1990. Kayla attended Huron Park Secondary School in Woodstock.

Kayla is survived by her loving partner, Andrew Blair of Kitchener, Waterloo where they resided. She was a loving mother to Derek Halashewski (age 9) and Cayden Halashewski (age 4). She is survived by her brothers Adam and Ryan Halashewski, and her sister Emma Paton McKay.

Kayla is predeceased by her grandparents, Hugh McKay, Patricia Gray, Dorothy Ritchie, and Stan and Betty Halashewski.
Kayla was spirited and funny, she was loved to the moon and back by her family. Kayla experienced much pain in the years leading up to her passing. We wish her joy and love as she finds her way back to the Lord.

There will be a liturgy on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME, 69 Wellington Street North, Woodstock, 519-537-3611.
