Born in Holland, she emigrated to Canada with Peter in 1954 to face a brand new life. She embodied practicality, hard work, and love as a devoted mother, juggling responsibilities as a housekeeper, farm worker, and 4-H leader. Her deep faith in God was central to her life, as she dedicatedly served as a CWL member. Her family appreciated her unending care and the array of talents she possessed, excelling as a cook, seamstress, and skilled knitter/crocheter. Each great-grandchild was gifted a handmade crocheted "Oma blanket" as a token of her love. She inspired everyone to strive for excellence and set a remarkable example for all to emulate.
