Obituary for Marilyn Speirs
SPEIRS, Marilyn “Lyn” – Passed away with family by her side at VON Sakura House of Friday, February 11, 2022.
Beloved wife of the late Allen Speirs who predeceased her in 2011. Dear sister of Peter Clowes (late Elsie) and Catherine Chapman (Lanny). She will be sadly missed by her nieces Brooke, Paige and Tracy, nephew Quinn as well as her great nephews Joshua and Riley.
Cremation has taken place and a spring interment will take place in the Anglican Cemetery, Woodstock.
The family will plan a gathering that will follow the interment. Lyn’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff and volunteers at Sakura House for the exceptional care and support that Lyn and her family received.
Lyn has generously remembered Sakura House, so the family asks that if desired, memorial donations can be made to the Special Olympics or the Canadian Down Syndrome Society in honour of Lyn’s nephew Quinn.
