Obituary for Patti Shillolo

Patti Jean Shillolo of Woodstock passed away suddenly at her home on June 27, 2021, in her 61st year.
Born in Stratford on July 27, 1960 to the late Frank and Shirley (Boyd) Shillolo. Patti was born along with her twin brother Perry (1992).
Patti and all her siblings were well known in their hometown of Stratford. The Brunswick St. house was a revolving door of friends and good times. Patti earned the nickname “Pit” among her friends.
At the age of 16, Patti gave birth to her daughter Sherri Powers. Sherri was raised by her father. There was limited contact but she never forgot about Sherri. She never stopped loving her.
Patti moved to Woodstock just before the birth of her daughter Natasha in 1984. Three years later, she met her common-law partner Robert MacDonald (2016) whom she shared her life with for 25 years.
Patti spent her time at home caring for Natasha and spoiling their family dogs Scruffy and Winnie.
Come night time you were guaranteed to find her at the casino or at the Silver Dollar Bingo Hall, giving her the nickname “Queen of the Silver Dollar”.
"...she’s the queen of the silver dollar and she rules this smokey kingdom…"
Patti will be forever missed and loved by her daughter Natasha Roden. Life wasn’t always easy but Patti always did everything she could to provide Natasha with everything she needed. She passed on her strength, her sense of humor and compassion for others. Patti leaves Natasha in the capable hands of her companion Bruce and her remaining family and friends. Never asking but always knowing that they will continue to support her and love her.
Forever in the hearts of her remaining family; sisters Lynn and Leeann, brother Steven, nephews Dustin and Dylan and her nieces Ricci, Joanne and Stephanie. Patti is also in the hearts of her extended family Barb and Brenda along with their children.
Patti was also predeceased by her brother Alan (1992) and brother Ron (2019).
Patti had a giving spirit and the ability to make anyone laugh. She amassed a community of friends who adored and loved her like family. Combined with her friends from her hometown, her “friends list” was impressive.
Cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held at a future date.
There will be a private visitation and memorial service held at the SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME, 69 Wellington St. N., Woodstock, (519) 537-3611. A community celebration of Patti’s life will be held at The First Baptist Church located at 603 Adelaide St. Woodstock, Thursday, July 8, 2021 starting at 2:30 pm
In lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations to help Natasha with final arrangements. If desired, donations can be made by e-transfer to tasharoden@hotmail.com or to any other family members. If you require further information, use the same email to send your inquiries.
