Obituary for Phyllis Laura Marie HUMPHREY (Deadman)

HUMPHREY: Phyllis Laura Marie - of Woodstock, passed away on Friday October 23, 2020 at the Woodstock Hospital in her 62nd year.

Special friend of Gary Cole of Woodstock, Dear mother of Alf Deadman (Michelle) of London, Gord Wettlaufer (Jen Ertel) of Woodstock, Ken Humphrey of Brantford, late Julie Humphrey (infancy), late Owen Humphrey (Oct 11, 2020), Sherri-Lynn Humphrey of Woodstock. Sadly missed by her 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Christine Pfaff of Sarnia, Katherine (James) Hoffman of Waterloo, Darlene Mabey (Dean Mason) of Stratford, Ernie Mabey of London, Wesley Mabey of Stratford, Corrinne White of Stratford, Todd Mabey of Kitchener and will be remembered by her dear Aunt Margaret Edwards of Woodstock and Uncle Bob Deadman of Elk Lake and by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her parents Aubrey & Barbara (Deadman) Mabey, by grandparents Betty and Bob Deadman and by her brother David Mabey.

Phyllis owned and operated the restaurant at Conestoga Lake, as well she owned and operated Treasure Cove Restaurant in Kitchener and Beaker Bar & Grill in Waterloo for many years prior to moving to Woodstock. She loved her car tours, Timmies, Bingo, the Casino and made a friend in everyone she met.

Friends will be received at the Smith-LeRoy Funeral Home, 69 Wellington St. N. Woodstock on Thursday October 29, 2020 from 5-8pm. A private family burial for Phyllis and Owen will take place in the Anglican Cemetery, Woodstock. (face masks and social distancing will be required)
