LAVIGNE, Rose – Passed away at Caressant Care Nursing Home, Woodstock on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth Lavigne who predeceased her on June 6, 1992. Loving mother of Shirley Mac Arthur (late Elwin), Dale Arsenault (Angie), late Eva Birch (Reg), late Rita Gosse (Dave), and late Theresa Mac Ausland (late Arnold). Rose dearly loved her 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She is survived by her sister Eileen Arsenault and brother Levi Jeffery. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, and extended family. She is predeceased by her parents Levi and Sadie Jeffery, as well as her 10 siblings. The family wish to thank the wonderful nursing and support staff for their exceptional care, love and support for Rose over the last eight years. A visitation will be held at the SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME, 69 Wellington St. North, Woodstock (519-537-3611), on Friday, October 18, 2019 from 6-8 pm, then again Saturday from 10:00 am -10:45 am. A funeral liturgy will follow in the chapel at 11 am. Cremation to follow with an interment of ashes in Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
