Obituary for Ruby Haycock
Ruby Haycock (nee Baird)
Passed away peacefully on Monday, October 11, 2021 in her 95th year. Predeceased by her husband Gordon (1993). Daughter to the late David and Irene Baird. Cherished mother to Ken (predeceased 2009) and his wife Jacquie, Doug and his wife Donna, Glenn (predeceased 2019) and his wife Linda, and Jim and his wife Beverly.
Ruby leaves behind 12 grandchildren, many great grandchildren as well as many other extended family and friends. Ruby was proud member of the Woodstock Hospital Auxiliary, the Woodstock Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the South Gate Seniors. She was also an employee at Poole’s in Woodstock for over 20 years.
Friends will be received at the SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME, 69 Wellington St. North, Woodstock on Friday, October 15, 2021 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A service in the chapel will be held on Saturday at 11am followed by an interment at Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery. (Guests are required to RSVP for the visitation and service on Ruby's webpage under service details the blue RSVP button. The service will be live streamed through the funeral home website for those who cannot attend in person.)
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Woodstock Hospital Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated. Personal condolences may be posted at www.smithleroy.com
