Serafina De Melo (nee Cordeiro)
Passed away at Woodstock Hospital on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at the age of 86. Survived by her loving husband Luciano of 59 years. Cherished mother to Saul (Joao), Dorothy (Jason), Sue (Henry) and George. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Marcus (Tammy), Derrick (Kathleen), Justin (Jade) and Larissa.
Serafina also leaves behind her sister Lucrecia Correira (Jose, predeceased) and brother Joe Cordeiro (Maria, predeceased). She will be forever remembered by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Predeceased by her parents Serafim and Rosa, sisters Evangelina (age 6) and Evangelina (age 12) as well as her brothers Jorge and Manuel.
Friends will be received at the Smith-LeRoy Funeral Home, 69 Wellington St. North, Woodstock, on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 from 10:00am-11:45am. A funeral mass will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, 1420 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock on Wednesday at 1:00pm. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
All guests are required to RSVP for the visitation and funeral mass through the funeral home website.
