Obituary for Bill EDEN
EDEN, William Charles - Passed away at the Woodstock Hospital on Saturday, August 19, 2023. Predeceased by his wife Ruby (Flintoft) Eden, his parents Charles and Norma Eden, and siblings Audrey Hickoff, Phyllis Adley and Ray Eden. Survived by his children Heather (Eden) and Greg Penny, Charlie and Michele (Millard) Eden, Marty and Julia (Cocco) Eden. Grandfather to Will Penny and Anso Bayan, Matt Penny, Billy Eden and Sarah (Tombs), Stacie Eden, Chris Eden and Carmen (Dunlop), Richard and Tabatha Eden and great grandfather to Wesley and Hazel Eden, Seth and Lucas Eden. Fondly remembered by nieces, nephews and extended family.
Anyone who knew Dad/Grandpa Bill, knew how much he loved life. He loved to socialize and always enjoyed meeting new people, whether in the market, gardening or while he had his old-fashioned BBQ catering. He loved to tell a story and liked to say if “I can’t dazzle them with brilliance, I will baffle them with bull.” He loved spending time fishing with his grandkids. He enjoyed his winters in Florida and his summers at the lake. “We love you Dad and will miss you always.”
Cremation has taken place and a private celebration of life will be at a later date. If you wish to make a donation in Bill’s memory, the family asks you to consider the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
